IAGT would like to thank you for becoming or considering becoming a member of
the IAGT family. With your membership we can continue to offer specialized focus on strengthening the Gifted and Talented programin the Irving IISD.

IAGT Lori Lorenz Memorial Scholarship Awards

R.J. Lorenz and his son Ryan (Lori Lorenz's husband & Son) donate $1000 to initiate the IAGT Lori Lorenz Memorial Scholarship. They are presenting the first scholarships awarded at the Showcase of Talent 3-26-07 at de Zavala Middle School.

IAGT promotes two types of Scholarships for Summer GT activities in academic,
creative and leadership enrichment.  
  

1.  IAGT Lori Lorenz Memorial Scholarship available to IAGT GT Members 

DEADLINE: 1st Friday in April                        

2.  TAGT (Texas Association for Gifted and Talented Scholarship)  available  to Texas Students with the signature of a TAGT member. (Deborah George, IISD Director of  GT/Advanced Academics has applications with her signature.)

DEADLINE: March 1, 2011

The IAGT mid yearly General Scholarship Meeting of parents and friends is held at a local school in IISD where information and/or instruction is given for the IAGT & TAGT scholarships.

IAGT offers and explains their IAGT Lori Lorenz Memorial Scholarship along with application and deadline criteria.  However, the majority of the meeting is given over to Deborah George who is the IISD Director of Gifted and Talented, PK-12, and her associates who deliver an English and Spanish presentation about TAGT (Texas Association for Gifted and Talented) Scholarships that are available to Gifted and Talented children in the state of Texas.

The audience is often split into two language groups, English and Spanish, where translation is made available to those present.
