As IAGT enters into its 11th year...

As IAGT begins its eleventh year striving to meet the needs of the gifted population in Irving, your board will be working to dispel the myths, educate the public, and advocate for our gifted students, and to support parents and teachers alike as they go about the important task of meeting the needs of this special population. We will be much more visible this year and involved in activities throughout the district.  If you are not a member but care about this population, please see our membership page and join us.  We can’t do it without you!

What we do

IAGT is an organization of parents and friends of the IISD gifted and talented student population in Irving, Texas who advocate and partner with IISD to meet the intellectual, emotional and social needs of the gifted and talented. Each member enables the success for the rest of the organization. We operate in a round table atmosphere sharing responsibilities collectively.  CAMPUS COMMITTEES are the foundation from which the organization is built. These committees can be made up of all IAGT Parent Members on a school campus. From this pool of volunteers, a SCHOOL LIAISON, can be selected that will attend their Cluster Meeting representing their school and its needs.  All Campus Committee members are welcome to attend Cluster and Board meetings as non voting participants.  IAGT Board Members are elected or appointed from the Cluster Meetings.
